Jay Rome is the #2 TE Prospect in the country and stands 6’3 and 250 pounds. He finished the season with 45 receptions for 550 yards and 7 touchdowns. He recently talked to ESPN's Jamie Newburg and this is a quote from that conversation from Rome on December 16th.
"Right now it's Georgia and Tennessee, not Georgia and Clemson. I don't know how and why everyone always thought I was going to Clemson," said Rome, an Under Armour All-American. "I know it has to be because my dad [Stan Rome] played there. I am also going to visit Alabama [Jan. 7] and the Tigers. But right now Georgia and Tennessee are my leaders.” He currently the #18 rated player in the ESPNU 150 List.
