Poke the bear, nothing possibly could go wrong.
This is a needless provocation regardless of Russia starting this mess.

headline... Unfortunately it is not and to openly/publicly discuss this issue at this particular point in time is beyond idiotic. This discussion will only give Putin more credibility among the Russian population for justifying their Ukraine invasion.
If this is the Biden Admin's strategy for de-escalating this conflict I'd say they are getting some very bad advice from the credentialed, Ivy League educated "experts" that seem to run DC these days...

Neville didn't orchestrate a coup like Toria Nuland (Kagan's wife) did in 2014.***

I'm not quite Neville, Birm Chicken Hawk.
In fact I've been in favor of giving the Ukrainians more weapons and earlier, so they could have actually potentially prevailed against Russia.
Instead, Biden has done just enough to prolong this conflict in which Ukraine can't win a war of attrition.
The military aid given to Ukraine is far more than Neville Chamberlain ever did and again I approve of that and then some.
However, based on Russian history and their losses of life from western invasion, it seems quite foolish to offer NATO admission to Ukraine and puts our service personnel and potentially all of us in harms way.
Nothing precludes the US from assisting Ukraine as we have been doing, but offering NATO admission ups the ante with Russia for what good reason?
This is a policy change and an unwise one and reckless one in my opinion.
Actions have consequences and the negative consequences to the US outweigh the benefits by far.
Strut your stuff though. Feel free to join the armed forces if so inclined.
