The year was 1977. The group was The Imperials. I tried to get a video of them singing it but, as you can imagine, the quality wasn't very good.

So, for all you young guys out there, this is what contemporary Christian music sounded like 50 years ago.

JD Sumner's 'Stamps' were similar to the Imperials, and were the backing vocals on an Elvis tour. I'm sure you know that, and this piece they did, so thought you'd enjoy it.
