CLEMSON RECRUITING

Tigers Receive Two Commits from Weekend Visits

by -

TE/DE Xavier Littleberry (6-6, 240) of Camden Military committed to the Tigers on his official visit to Clemson this past weekend. The Columbus, OH, native also had interest from Kentucky, South Carolina, and Oklahoma St.

“Littleberry is a guy that most in the recruiting world knew little about till around Christmas,” said recruiting analyst Mickey Plyler. “According to coaches that have seen him, he has a great frame and can play either tight end or defensive end. His latest academic report caused his stock to soar.”

According to reports, Littleberry is on track to be a full qualifier academically for the Tigers. He will have 5 years to play 4, and is also a very good basketball prospect. Clemson assistant Brad Scott is recruiting Littleberry for the Tigers.

TE Durrell Barry (6-5 245) of Fort Dorchester High School also committed to the Tigers on his official visit to Clemson this past weekend. He selected the Tigers over Louisville.

This season Barry caught 66 passes for 1126 yards and 11 touchdowns.

“Durrell Barry is a huge passing catching tight end prospect,” said recruiting analyst Mickey Plyler. “He had a great senior season and had a few huge games. In one particular playoff game this year he put on a show. He is a very athletic and has good hands.”

Clemson will sign him and may place him in a prep school for a year if he doesn’t qualify. Clemson assistant Burton Burns is recruiting Barry for the Tigers.
