The hard-hitting 2014 safety has had a love for the Tigers for as long as he can remember. He’s a huge fan of Brian Dawkins – who played the same position he does – and he’s a fan of all the tradition Clemson has to offer.

Sumner-Gardner found his way to Clemson, S.C., for a camp this week, and on Thursday, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound defensive back gave head coach Dabo Swinney his verbal commitment. Sumner-Gardner earned the scholarship offer with consistent performances at the camp.
