(Mesquite, Texas/West Mesquite) is a prime example of when hard work is rewarded. After playing his sophomore season on West Mesquite’s junior varsity, Sumner-Gardner will go into the summer season as a recruit to watch from the 2014 class. If all goes as planned, Clemson will be a school that recognizes him. Sumner-Gardner is very open in admitting Clemson has been a personal favorite of his since he was younger. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound safety has yet to pick up an offer, but he has interest from Oklahoma, Texas A&M, TCU and Arkansas -- and he’s looking to add a Clemson offer to that list.
