Graduated Blackville HS in Barnwell County in 1967. There were 44 people in my graduating class. Attended US Naval Academy '67-'68. Joined the Army October '68. One year signal school, Fort Gordon, GA, one year Vietnam (III corp, Bien Hoa area), one year Heidleberg, Germany. Stayed in Europe being a hippie until September '73. Attended Clemson (civil engineering) '74-'78. I mainly hung out at the Study Hall while I was in school.
I went to work with an engineering firm in Greenville that has now become a part of ARCADIS - a full service engineering and consulting company with a strong emphasis on environmental work.
I still live in the Clemson area (on Highway 88 between Central and Pendleton). It takes me ten minutes to get to Death Valley or the baseball field (I still don't like calling it Doug Kingsmore Stadium.) That means about ten minutes to the Esso Club as well, where I generally check in on weekends.
