Team co-captain in 2012...righthander who moved into the weekend rotation in late April of 2010 and has also been a long reliever...suffered an injury in the early part of 2011 that hampered his progress, but he moved back into the weekend rotation in the second half of the 2011 season...slated to be a weekend starter in 2012...competitive pitcher who challenges hitters...in 124.0 innings pitched over 37 appearances (22 starts) and two seasons, he has a 9-4 record and 4.21 ERA while allowing 122 hits (.255 opponents' batting average) and 52 walks with 112 strikeouts.

2010: Had a 3-2 record and 4.78 ERA in 22 appearances (10 starts)...in 58.1 innings pitched, he allowed 69 hits, including only two homers (both solo), and 22 walks with 40 strikeouts...did not allow more than four earned runs or three walks in any of his 22 appearances...pitched a perfect ninth inning in relief in his first career outing against Miami (OH) on Feb. 19...pitched 3.0 innings in relief, allowing two hits, no runs, and no walks with six strikeouts to earn his first career win in the second game of a doubleheader against N.C. State on Mar. 13...pitched 5.1 innings in his first career start, allowing four hits, no earned runs, and one walk against #14 Coastal Carolina on Mar. 31...pitched 6.0 innings in a starting role, allowing four hits, two runs, and one walk with seven strikeouts to earn the win at Georgia on Apr. 6...pitched 6.0 innings in a starting role, allowing six hits, two earned runs, and one walk with six strikeouts against Western Carolina on Apr. 14...pitched 8.0 innings in a starting role, allowing seven hits, three runs, and one walk with three strikeouts against North Carolina on Apr. 25; it was his first career ACC start; he allowed just one hit and no runs in his final 6.0 innings pitched after allowing a leadoff single in the third inning...pitched 5.2 innings in a starting role, allowing three hits, no earned runs, and one walk with three strikeouts to earn the win against #16 Alabama in the Clemson Super Regional on June 14.
