, who was arrested earlier this week for marijuana possession, would not play this weekend against South Carolina but would probably be back for the game against Arizona next weekend.

"He's suspended, probably until next week, and will probably play against Arizona," Brownell told the media. "He's not playing against South Carolina. I feel like Milt is a really good kid who's made a lot of progress of the course the two-and-a-half years that I've been the coach here. Obviously, he's made some mistakes and we've disciplined him accordingly for some of those."

Brownell said that Jennings, suffering through his third suspension under Brownell, has made immature mistakes.

"I think, some of the mistakes are more maturity issues, in terms of frustration and a little bit a lack of poise, really, with some of the other suspensions," he said. "To be honest with you, I think, at most programs, he probably wouldn't have been suspended for losing his temper. But we're trying to set a little bit of a higher standard with that here, and he was."

Brownell then said that Jennings was not a distraction for his younger teammates.

"I think we've made tremendous progress over the course of the last two years. He, certainly, is not a distraction to our team. His teammates, our coaching are not ready to give up on Milt," he said. "I think he feels upset and disappointed for his most recent actions. He's a young man who's close to graduating. I am really proud of what he's been able to do, the improvements that he's made in the improvements that he's made with his academics. I'm proud of how much he's improved as a teammate over the course of the last two years. I thought he was a little bit of a selfish guy. We all still make mistakes and this was a selfish act. He's going to pay the consequences with that, not just with basketball, but with other things through the university."
