Yet Boyd made headlines earlier this week when he told reporters in Clemson that he was thinking about the possibility of leaving school early to try his hand at the pros. Boyd said, "It’s up in the air. It’s one of those deals where all you can do is control what you can and take it from there. But at the same time I don’t think there’s any place better than here." Coach Dabo Swinney tried to put to rest any speculation when asked for his response to Boyd's comments. With the season still ongoing, the last thing Swinney wants is any distraction concerning his star quarterback.
