Graduated from Clemson in '65, U. of South Carolina Law in '68. Almost 6 years in the Army (Captain); stationed in Korea, Germany, Belgium. Masters in tax law from NYU in '74. In private practice in Wilmington, Delaware until retirement in 2013. Married (Univ. of Mich. grad), one son (MIT grad., Stanford MS), one daughter (Tulane grad.), five grandchildren.
