Damien Wright is anchoring a Crestwood team that is off to an 8-0 start. Wright is one of the top safety prospects in South Carolina this year. The opportunity of early playing time prompted him to commit to the University of South Carolina during the summer.
"I am still firm to South Carolina. I know I am going to have a chance to play early, and I feel the defense is suited to my style. South Carolina will be the only official visit that I take. The Duke coach still calls me every week to see how I am doing." As far as stats, Wright has posted impressive numbers in his first eight games. He has posted 108 tackles and four fumble recoveries. This Friday he looks to lock up a region title. "We have to take care of business this Friday. We need to secure the region title and homefield advantage, then turn our focus to a state title."
