What school came in second for you? “Clemson. I really liked Clemson but I really went with my heart with N.C. State. I felt like it was a great fit for me and a great opportunity for me to play. Also, the school was great, too.”

What could Clemson have done a little better? “Nothing really, to be honest. I prayed about the situation, and I asked God to show me what was best for me. And He did.”

What was the biggest recruiting rumor about you that wasn’t true? “They were saying I was going to flip on signing day to Clemson. That wasn’t true at all. I was 100 percent with my decision.”

Which non-NC State coach was the nicest? “Coach Swinney. He was a nice dude but my heart was at NC State.”
