Devon Thompson - Defensive Line
Height: 6-2   Weight: 275   Hometown: Union, SC (Union HS)   Class: 2006
ESPN: NR

Clemson has done well in recent years evaluating defensive linemen. The Tigers have hit found steals in players such as Rashaad Jackson and Etta Etta-Tawo.

This year the staff could sign two more defensive tackles. Jarvis Jenkins is already on board as an early commitment. Jenkins is the number one defensive tackle in the state of South Carolina for 2007.

One prospect remains under evaluation is Devon Thompson of Union, SC. Thompson attended Junior Day at Clemson and South Carolina.

"Both visits were great. They are two programs with really good coaching staffs. I fit in with the players at both schools. I still hear from both staffs, but I am waiting on my one to offer."

Georgia Tech is also showing interest in Thompson.

"Tech is a good school. I could probably get on the field the earliest at Georgia Tech. They have some holes to fill on defense."
