Top LB Lateek Townsend committed to Clemson during Army All-America Bowl on national television at the end of the 4th quarter.
He chose Clemson over South Carolina, LSU, Southern California, and Florida. Townsend who likes to keep everyone guessing told the announcer on the All-American bowl he was picking the Gamecocks right before they went on air so even the announcer was surprised when Townsend picked up the Clemson hat. Last night Townsend said he was putting the decision off till signing day on his Facebook page and earlier this week Townsend had told TigerNet that he had basically eliminated the Tigers and was down to South Carolina and LSU. We will keep our eye on Townsend because you never know what he might do next. Townsend finished the season with 132 tackles, including 15 for loss and four sacks.
