The staff had to work extremely hard to stave off pushes from Florida State and South Carolina for Rendrick Taylor. Taylor returned home today from his official visit to Clemson.

"The visit was great. They let us go through the locker room, and see the jerseys hanging up. We were able to put the jerseys on. We were able to run down the Hill and rub the Rock. They basically took us through everything that would happen in a normal pregame. My mom and I met with Coach Bowden and Coach Spence."

How does Taylor stand on his commitment to Clemson?

"I am firm to Clemson. That is where I am going to play to football."

Taylor's teammate Bryant McLaughlin came into Clemson this weekend as well.

"Bryant is a very physical player. He sees the ball well and can make the big hit."

Coach Bowden is expected to make an in home visit with Taylor sometime this week. Coach Swinney locked down Taylor for the Tigers. Taylor shared his thoughts about his future position coach.

"Coach Swinney is just a great guy. He can hold a conversation with you as long as you like."

Taylor was able to reunite with some of his Shrine Bowl teammates and also formed a new relationship.

"It was really nice getting to see the guys from the Shrine Bowl again. We all hit it off really well once again. I also met TJ Williams from Leon County. We hit it off really well, too. We are talking about being roommates next year."
