Brandon Spikes may be the best linebacker in the Carolinas this year. He has not tipped his hat towards a favorite heading into the last weekend of September

"I am trying to stay wide open. There is a lot of schools that are calling. I want to wait and make sure I make the right decision. I plan on going to a bunch of games this year."

Spikes made the trip to Clemson for the game against Miami this past weekend.

"I had a really good time. You could not have asked for a better game to watch. If I see a better game this year, I will be shocked. The fans were loud the whole game. If you play at Clemson, you know the fans will be behind you."

Spikes said a return trip to Death Valley is not out of the question.

"The coaches told me I could come back anytime I wanted. They play FSU later in the year, and that is a game I would be interested in."

As for when he will name favorites, Spikes remained silent.

"It will be after my season probably before I start narrowing it down. When my season is over, I will set up my official visits."

We will continue to keep you updated on the status Spikes.
