Clemson is still searching to land one more running back for the 2006 recruiting class. Eugene Sowell is a prospect the Tigers have shown heavy interest in the last few weeks. Sowell was able to attend the Tigers 49-20 victory over Duke.

"It was a good game. I thought Clemson played very well. I liked the way they run the ball. Their backs were really close to breaking a couple of big runs. Their offense is set up to produce a 1,000-yard running back."

Does Sowell plan on returning to Clemson?

"I am definitely going to set up an official visit with Clemson. I was able to see a lot last Saturday, but there is a lot more I want to see. I think I fit in pretty well on the campus, but I will get a better feel on my official visit."

Sowell is also looking at Louisville, Auburn, and LSU. He plans on setting up official visits with all four schools.

"Clemson and Louisville are coming after me the hardest. They are the most consistent with the phone calls. I won't say I have a favorite right now, but I want to feel like the school wants me to be a part of their program."

Sowell said January 13th would be the likely date of his official visit to Clemson.
