Quentez Ruffin has been very firm in stating that he will sign with Clemson coming National Signing Day on February 2. Ruffin reaffirmed that statement following his official visit to Clemson this weekend.

"I am solid as a rock...Howard's Rock as a matter of fact."

Yesterday, Ruffin had his first experience rubbing Howard's Rock and running down the Hill.

"That was the first time I got to run down the Hill, but it definitely will not be the last. I can't wait to do it in front of 80,000 people."

Cory Groover was the player host for Ruffin this weekend. Ruffin recapped how the weekend broke down.

"Friday night we had dinner, then they released us to go out with our hosts. I had a good time hanging out with Big Groove. Saturday morning we went to breakfast then we had the tour. I got to meet with some of the academic advisors as well. At night, we went to the banquet. It seemed like Leroy Hill got every award they were giving out."

Ruffin who did a good job recruiting Leon County teammate TJ Williams, was working over some of the uncommitted players.

"I was talking with Mike Davis, James Davis, and Hivera Green. We got James committed. I think the other guys are pretty close."

Offensive line coach Brad Scott had the chance to look over Ruffin's latest highlight reel on Saturday.

"Coach Scott looked at my new film, and he says that I will have a chance to come in play early. I will start out at right tackle. (Marion) Dukes is there now, but he is more of an inside guy, so if I can come in and learn the system fast enough they want to move him inside."
