Jamie Robinson - Defensive Back
Height: 6-3   Weight: 185   Hometown: Rock Hill, SC (Northwestern HS)   Class: 2005
ESPN: NR

Jamie Robinson made his case for being the number one player in South Carolina at the Shrine Bowl this week. Robinson proved that even at 6-2, he definitely has the ability to play corner.

Robinson showed great closing speed, when breaking in on slant routes. Normally with cornerbacks of Robinson's height, coaches will show concerns over the corners hips. After watching Robinson this week, Robinson definitely has the movement in his hips to play corner at the next level.

One of the more highlighted matchups in the Shrine Bowl, Robinson was in man coverage against Georgia commitment Mohammed Massaquoi. This was a pretty even battle all day going back and forth between the great players.

"I knew he was a great player coming in. My high school scrimmaged his back during the summer. He made some plays, but I was also able to make some plays on him. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him."

Robinson will now turn his focus to his recruiting. Florida State, Virginia Tech, and Clemson have been Robinson's leaders for quite sometime.

"I don't have a leader right now. I will take my official visits to FSU, Clemson, and Virginia Tech. I am not sure when I will make my commitment, but I am going to take my visits first. Those are the only schools I will visit."

From talking to players and coaches close to Robinson, it appears that FSU is the team to beat right now. Robinson will visit FSU on January 7, there is a chance Robinson could commit on that official visit. Robinson will visit Clemson on January 14 and Virginia Tech on January 21.
