was surprised by his first-ever visit to the Clemson campus, but in a good way. Jones is a 2013 wide receiver out of Raleigh (Southeast Raleigh) N.C. who was on campus for Clemson’s Junior Day activities. “It went pretty good,” Jones told TigerNet. “I like Coach Swinney a lot. He is the kind of coach I could play for. The guy that recruits my area is Coach Caldwell, and he is just a laid-back country guy.” He said that campus and the town were what stood out the most. “The campus, it kind of surprised me,” Jones said. “It was my first time being there. When you watch the games on television, and you see Death Valley and you see all these people you think it might be this big city. I expected to see this huge city, but it’s just a college town, and I liked it a lot.” Jones said the coaches told him they wanted to see more of him and see him work out in person before making an offer. “They said an offer might come on how I do at camp,” he said. “They want to see me in person, so I am going to come to camp in June.”
