Kelly committed to Clemson over offers from Florida State and Miami. He is enjoying a strong start to the season by his future program that has included back-to-back wins over Auburn and FSU.

"The offense looks great, especially Sammy Watkins," Kelly said. "He is tearing it up, that's for sure.

"I don't think anyone expected this from Clemson except for the people that bought into [offensive coordinator Chad Morris'] offense and the players that bought into it."

Kelly plans to get a closer look at Clemson when the Tigers travel to Maryland on Oct. 15 and is hoping to visit the campus on the weekend of Nov. 5.
