Drew Wharton has wasted no time in securing his future in college baseball, as the rising Peachtree Ridge senior has given a verbal commitment to Clemson.
#Wharton, who hit .316 with 11 RBIs and four stolen bases as the starting centefielder and recorded three saves with a 2.74 ERA and six strikeouts in 7 innings out of the bullpen for the Lions this spring, chose Clemson over similar offers from Tulane, Kennesaw State and College of Charleston, and plans to sign a scholarship with the Tigers during the early signing period in November.
