Michael, I understand you made your decision today, who did you make your verbal commitment to?:

“I chose Clemson University.”

Why did you choose Clemson over Virgina?:

“I think my opportunity to play is a lot better at Clemson. I really like the coaches there. I went to a camp there during the summer, and everything just felt great there. Another big factor was Coach Bowden and his faith in Jesus Christ was a big thing too.”

How did you do this season at Parkview?:

“We lost in the quarterfinals. I had 22 catches for 390 yards and six touchdowns. I am a pretty balanced tight end.”

What do you like about how Clemson uses the tight end under Rob Spence?:

“This is Coach Spence’s second year, and they use a lot of two tight end sets. They say they are going to throw to the tight end a lot. It is just a good situation for me to come in and play.”

Have you already taken any official visits?:

“I went two weekends ago to Virginia, and my Clemson trip is scheduled for January 13th.”

Talk about your recruiter, Ron West:

“He is just a great guy. He came for an in home visit last week, and we just really got to know him. He seems very sincere about everything.”

What are you goals in the off-season:

“I just really want to get stronger and put on weight. Those are the two biggest factors.”

Talk about your teammate, junior running back Caleb King:

“He is one heck of a player. He is just awesome. Some of the moves he makes just reminds me of Reggie Bush. He is a great back.”

Are you firm with the Tigers?:

“I am pretty firm with the Tigers.”
