The RV rolled out again the morning of July 7 to a campground in Anderson, S.C., just outside of Clemson. The next day, Flint toured Clemson’s facilities.
His tour guides took him to where his locker would be. Inside was a jersey, and he tried it on.
“It was the best-fitting jersey I’ve ever put on,” he said.
They went to see Howard’s Rock, which Clemson’s players touch while filing onto Frank Howard Field in “Death Valley.” Flint also spent a lot of time in the weight room, one of his favorite places.
In the lingo of recruiting Web sites, his visit to Clemson was a 10.
“Clemson is definitely one of the places I’m considering and one of my top schools, along with Tennessee,” he said.
