From The Times-Picayune:
While it was known that Nkemdiche’s Clemson commitment was shaky at best, LSU also knew it had plenty of more work to do. This situation feels eerily similar to the Landon Collins situation last year where the Dutchtown star picked Alabama over LSU despite his mother’s objection to the decision.
Prior to his commitment to Clemson earlier in the year, Nkemdiche had given LSU a “silent commitment,” according to sources. Within a week, though, he committed to Clemson, leaving the coaches at LSU stunned.
