Davis is scheduled to visit Clemson on Jan. 27, and his older brother has let everybody know about it, even saying Mike was a “soft” commitment to South Carolina on Twitter. “I don’t know if I’m going to Clemson yet and please don’t pay attention to what he says,” Davis said. Some have speculated that Davis has never really considered Clemson because he didn’t want to follow in his brother’s footsteps. “That didn’t have anything to do with me and Clemson. They just came on late with me.”
Then there’s Clemson: The Tigers called the other day, and there’s an ever-present fear among South Carolina fans that Davis could flip to the Tigers at any moment. After all, his older brother, James Davis, was an All-ACC RB at Clemson.
