McKinney Says He Will Play Saturday
James McKinney has had an outstanding week of practice in San Antonio for the U.S. Army All American game this weekend. McKinney did receive a slight scare today at practice. Some reports came out that McKinney may have suffered a hip pointer.
"Nah, it is not a hip pointer. It is a hip flexor. I will still be able to play Saturday. Right now, I am able to move it, and it feels pretty good. I guess we will see before the game."
A decision is not likely to come before McKinney makes his final visit to Oklahoma on January 21. Defensive line coach Ron West and graduate assistant Billy Napier are closing strong with McKinney. Michigan may still be the leader, but this could be a steal for Clemson come signing day.
