Things were going a little slow for Bani Gbadyu, but all of that recently changed. At a recent combine, Gbadyu earned offers from Oklahoma defensive coordinator Brent Venerables, Boston College, Syracususe, Connnecticut, and Michigan State. He was impressive throughout the combine, but really turned heads when he leaped 10 feet 8 inches in the broad jump.
"They said they don't have the broad jump every year at the camp, but my coach told me I was the third player to ever leap over 10 feet. The other two are in the NFL. Larry Johnson that played at Penn State was one of them." With a broad jump over 10 feet, it is clear that Gbadyu possesses some explosiveness. He also ran a shuttle time of 4.21. Clemson has yet to offer Gbadyu, but they are one of several schools who are right on the door step of offering. "I hear from Nebraska, Maryland, and Clemson a pretty good bit. I believe all three are close to offering. I like the tradition Clemson has at linebacker. They always have a good defense, and I think I would fit in well. I am open right now, and I am not sure when I will make a commitment."
