and Kedrick Davis - accounted for six touchdowns as Berry (7-3, 4-2) broke a two-game losing streak. "That's the way you want to do it," Cardinals coach Andrew Howard said. "This senior class came in as freshmen 0-11 and like I told them tonight, you can pretty much write a book ... because you could see how they progressed and got better through the years." Berry rolled up a 37-0 halftime lead with Dawson and Clemson commitment Hopper each scoring two touchdowns. Dawson put together a big first half, churning out 94 yards rushing and two touchdowns on five carries, including a 54-yarder in which he ran over a Harding defender and raced past the pursuit to push the Cardinals' advantage to 29-0 in the second quarter.
The Cardinals closed the regular season with a 50-7 romp against neighborhood rival Harding High on Friday in the MEGA 7 3A/4A finale for 20 seniors.
