2016 offensive tackle Alex Smith from Woodstock, GA visited Clemson for its Junior Day over the weekend.
"I had a great time," said Smith about his visit. "I enjoyed watching the team practice and I saw how well the players interacted with each other and the coaching staff. I also got to see what life was like when the players aren't practicing and how they coaches treat their players when they aren't coaching!" Smith was excited about the opportunity to visit Clemson and thinks very highly of the school. "Clemson is a great place and I would love to go there and study and play ball!" He was also liked the fact that the coaches were well-rounded and cared about more things than just football. "I love how the Clemson coaches care for their players with academics and athletics and how they are all part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes." Smith had an excellent season as his high school team made it the the final four in 6A football which was the first time in his school's history as well as the county's history. He currently has a lone offer from Army but has interest from several programs. "Clemson is my favorite followed by Auburn, N.C. State, Georgia Tech, Duke and Georgia." He plans on visiting Auburn, Georgia Tech and N.C. State in the near future. Clemson junior day was great! @CoachVenables @OLCoachCaldwell pic.twitter.com/vD8TiFuPfP
