ESPN: NR

Elsmore Gabriel spent this season at Fork Union, while getting qualified to play at Clemson. Gabriel received the news shortly after returning home for Christmas, that he would be headed to Clemson in January.

"I am very excited. The day I came home from Fork Union, I called my mom on a stop, and she said the NCAA had sent a letter. When I opened, it said I was certified. I started jumping for joy. I called Coach Blackwell to let him know that I had qualified and would be there in January."

Gabriel played defensive tackle in high school, but this season at Fork Union he played defensive end. So where will Gabriel end up at Clemson?

"As of right now I am going to be working at end. At Fork Union I played end, I like playing end, but if they change me, I will play the position they tell me to play."

At Fork Union, Gabriel played with fellow future Tigers Durrell Barry and Phillip Merling.

"We bonded very closely. Hopefully in August we will be roommates. Durrell is my boy. I know we are going to hang out. I was able to spend some time with Phillip and his family, we all became pretty close. It was nice to be able to have some guys with me that are going to Clemson."
