Height: 6-2 Weight: 195 Hometown: Aiken, SC (Silver Bluff HS) Class: 2012
Clemson was the 1st college to offer this speedy player from Silver Bluff HS.
Cordrea Tankersley(6-2, 195lb) camped at Clemson during last summer and was looked at as a defensive back and receiver, but probably projects best as a safety. As a junior, he rushed for 1,520 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also threw for 846 yards and two scores and also played DB on passing downs. According to the Saturday Down South: "6-2/195 safety Cordrea Tankersley will probably remain in the state to play his college football at either Clemson or South Carolina. He claims a low 4.4 forty time, and if that holds up, he can make a big difference in the secondary with his combination of size and speed."
