Clemson landed James Davis out of Douglass high school in 2005. Harvey English was left to fill the void left by Davis. Now, he may have earned the right to follow Davis to the next level.
"Clemson was the first to offer me. Clemson and Alabama are my only two offers right now. Both are great programs, who really commit to running the football. I know James has had a big impact at Clemson." Burton Burns is recruiting English for Clemson. "Coach Burns is great. I have seen him around the school a lot. He recruited James and some other guys here." English responded in his junior campaign with a 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns. English is taking his time, but he says following Davis does not bother him. "James really liked Clemson, and it was the best fit for him. If I take a visit to Clemson, and it is the best place for me, then that is where I will go."
