With talented athletes on both sides of the ball, it was no wonder that Peach County High won 11 of 13 games this season. One of their standouts on the defensive side was Darius Dewberry. The senior tallied 109 tackles, eight sacks, and one interception.

His ability has earned him the attention of several Division I schools, such as Clemson, Georgia, Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Of the group, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, and Tennessee have made offers.

As of now, Dewberry is keeping his options open.

"There isn't really a school that I am leaning towards as of right now," Dewberry said. "I plan to visit Clemson, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee after Christmas, and will have a better idea after that."

Fellow Peach County senior Larry Cox is also looking at Clemson, but Dewberry isn't sure if that will factor in to his decision.

"I have watched Clemson play on television, and I think it is a great school," Dewberry said. "If Larry was to end up there, I am not sure what it would mean to me. If it happens, it happens."

Dewberry is a sign and place prospect.
