On Tuesday, defensive coach Chris Rumph took a pay raise and decided to
become the new defensive end coach at Alabama. The nation's #1 recruit, defensive end Jadeveon Clowney had a close relationship with Rumph while he was a coach at Clemson and Rumph was the main reason Clowney was going to visit Clemson. However, according to his South Pointe coach, Bobby Carroll, Clowney has now cancelled his visit to Clemson on Jan. 21st because of the coaching change and will now decide between Florida, Florida State, and Auburn for his final official visit on Jan. 28th. Rumph moving to Alabama appears to be a boast to Alabama's chances of landing Clowney. Clowney is currently practicing at the Under Armour All American Game where he has been very impressive.
