He has offers from Arizona State, California, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Indiana, ULL, Louisville, Miami, MTSU, Minnesota, Nebraska, N.C. State, Northern Illinois, Samford, South Alabama, South Carolina, Southern Miss, UAB, UCF, Washington State, and others.

He plans to visit Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Louisville, Alabama, and Auburn doing the summer months.

As a junior, he had 36 tackles and 7 interceptions (returned 2 for touchdowns). He has physical skills at corner and also a good return man for his high school team.

Thompson is also a standout baseball player and may try to play both sports in college.
