Clemson is right in the mix with many of the top 2017 and 2018 recruits

Clemson's 2017 recruiting has been on fire in the last several weeks as the Tigers acquired another 4-star commitment in powerful running back Cordarrian Richardson from Memphis, Tennessee on Sunday.
Richardson had 2,239 yards with 18 rushing touchdowns and five more scores on punt returns this past season.
His commitment propelled the Tigers overall team rankings to an impressive #3 ranking for 247Sports.com as of Monday morning. The Tigers have one 5-star, five four-stars and three 3-stars in the individual recruit rankings.
The Top 20 team rankings includes Ohio State, Miami, Clemson, Florida State, Alabama, Oklahoma, Georgia, Baylor, North Carolina, Kentucky, Iowa, UCLA, USC, Texas, Notre Dame, Texas Tech, Michigan, Mississippi State, Texas A&M and Stanford.
Clemson's in-state rival South Carolina is rated #51 with three commits.
ESPN.com has 8 of the 9 (88.9%) Clemson commits as substantial 4-star prospects. Clemson's full 2017 list of commits include OT Blake Vinson, OT Noah DeHond, QB Chase Brice, CB LeAnthony Williams, WR Amari Rodgers, QB Hunter Johnson, RB Cordarrian Richardson, OG Matt Bockhorst and OLB Baylon Spector.
