Height: 6-4 Weight: 280 Hometown: Stone Mountain, GA (Stephenson HS) Class: 2012
JaFar Mann is a 6-4 280 prospect out of Stone Mountain, Georgia. He goes to Stephenson High where several players have big-time division I offers already for next year's recruiting class.
According to Jaime Newberg of ESPN: "As a junior, JaFar Mann (Stone Mountain, Ga./Stephenson) was a two-way standout who rarely got a down off." "He started for us at offensive tackle and defensive tackle," said Stephenson coach Ron Gartrell. "I think he played more snaps for us than anyone and by the end of the season he was just worn down. He showed some flashes though. Jafar is a terrific defensive tackle. He's athletic and can play the three technique better than the one. He can chase the ball and gets a good push." The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder will be a three-year starter for the Jaguars and finished last year with 45 tackles and six sacks. He has attended several football camps already including Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and Tennessee. Auburn, Florida, Miami, Miss St, South Carolina, USF, and Tennessee have offered so far.
