His top schools include Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, and TCU. Clemson has yet to offer.

Brooks is a consensus 4-star recruit by all the major recruiting services and a holds a TigerNet ranking of 4.47.

He has national offers from Alabama, Baylor, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Illinois, Kansas, LSU, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Oregon, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, and Utah.
