4-star 2017 cornerback Gentry Bonds from Murfreesboro, TN (Riverdale HS) has Clemson in his top group on Friday according to his Twitter account.

His top five schools were Clemson, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Missouri, and Nebraska.

Bonds has national offers from Clemson, Duke, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Purdue, Tennessee, UAB, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest and Western Kentucky.

He was named All-Region 2-6A in 2015 after recording 59 tackles, four interceptions, and 13 pass break-ups.

TigerNet spoke with Bonds last week and he had the following positive things to say about Clemson.

“It's pretty cool that a team that was in the national championship last year offered me," Bonds said. "When I was watching the national championship, I thought Clemson would be a pretty cool place to play. They have a great fan base. That's pretty awesome."
