2017 shooting guard
Peyton Broughton from London, KY will announce his college choice on Monday at 3:30 p.m. at his high school according to his Twitter account. Clemson, Eastern Kentucky, UAB, and UNC Asheville are his four finalists.
The 6-4 shooting guard has offers from Clemson, Eastern Kentucky, Miami(OH), Samford, UAB, UNC Asheville, Western Kentucky, and Wright State. He took an unofficial visit to Clemson on 8/25/14. Broughton is the leading scorer in his school's history with 2,123 points. He averaged 22.5 points a game and six rebounds last season and was named 13th Region 1st-team and All-State 2nd team after the season. During his sophomore season, he averaged 26 points and six rebounds per game. Broughton averaged 11 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals for the Derby State Thoroughbreds. He has been to the Jr. All-American Camp, Blue Chip Basketball Camp, Elite Hoops Showcase, and the NOLA Primetime Super 60 event. An interesting tidbit is his nickname given to him by his basketball coach is Gremlin. I will be announcing my college decision this Monday at 3:30 in the library!! Everyone at school is welcome to come ??????
