During the camp session, players ran the 40-yard dash two times, did drills with position coaches, competed in positional 1-on-1 competitions and finally the top players would go head to head. Chase was the top overall player at the camp after all of the different evaluations. As a junior, Chase had 25 catches for 521 yards and five touchdowns. As a sophomore, he had 28 receptions for 562 yards and 4 touchdowns. On defense, he had 43 tackles and 3 interceptions. He had offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, FIU, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, South Florida, Temple, Tennessee, UCF, Virginia Tech and others.
