from Woodruff, S.C. Some of his other offers included College of Charleston, Charleston Southern, Liberty, Coastal Carolina, Citadel and others.

TigerNet spoke to Lawson on Thursday morning and said he is very excited to become a Tiger. "It's a true blessing and honor to be able to play for Clemson. It's a dream come true," said Lawson. "I have been a Clemson fan my entire life. So having the chance to go and wear the orange and purple is incredible and a indescribable feeling. It was a dream come true."

Lawson was also impressed with the Clemson coaching staff and the facilities. "The coaches are amazing. They were extremely happy for me to get on board. Clemson facilities are incredible. It is such a nice place to watch a game and it's even better to get to play on it."

The hard-throwing pitcher also has members of his family associated with Clemson. His father is a Clemson alum and his grandfather was signed to play football at Clemson but decided to play minor league baseball instead.

He describes his style of play on the diamond as "I'm a hard throwing arm. I like to go at hitters with my fastball and then go at them with my breaking ball. I have been able to run my fastball up to 92 this summer."

Last year, Lawson was 5-2 record with a 2.31 era and was named All-Region and All-State. He also batted .400 for the season. Lawson was also a 2014 Underclass High Honorable Mention.

He's the 13th commitment for Clemson's 2015 class.
