The season started for a number of Clemson commits over the weekend, featuring some standout performances.

Check out week one of the latest highlights from future Tigers:

Braden Galloway – 3-star Seneca (SC) TE prospect

Galloway did a little bit of everything for Seneca in a 55-6 home win over Berea. The 6-foot-6 athlete played quarterback and receiver, topping 100 yards rushing (107) and passing (102) – including a 56-yard TD connection. Galloway fought off a defender for a red-zone touchdown reception and added a goal line TD rush as well.

Derion Kendrick – 4-star South Pointe (SC) WR

Kendrick totaled almost 300 total yards in a 39-7 South Pointe win over Rock Hill-rival Northwestern. Kendrick plays quarterback for the Stallions and he completed 20-of-27 throws for 200 yards and a touchdown, adding 97 yards on nine rushes.

Trevor Lawrence – 5-star Cartersville (GA) QB

The nation's top-rated quarterback cruised in a 35-14 opener win over Allatoona. Lawrence connected on 13-of-19 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns – one a smooth 40-yard connection over the middle – with one interception.

Kyler McMichael – 4-star Greater Atlanta Christian CB

McMichael, the Spartans' leading returning rusher, anchored the state's top-rated 3A team to a 46-14 win over Norcross. He totaled for 93 yards on 15 carries with a touchdown.

Justin Mascoll – 4-star South Gwinnett (GA) DE

Mascoll was all over the backfield versus Central Gwinnett in a 28-24 defeat. Mascoll stripped the ball on a sack, added another tackle and forced early throws on five quarterback hurries.

Darnell Jefferies – 3-star Newton (GA) DT

Jefferies played his part in a highly-disruptive Newton defensive line versus the Drew Titans. He earned at least a share of three tackles for loss on a defense listed with six sacks on the night in a 39-24 win.

Mike Jones Jr. – 4-star IMG (Fla.) Academy OLB

Jones Jr. played in an IMG Academy exhibition win over Carol City, 41-22. His night included a fake punt run, tackle and pass breakup.

Xavier Thomas – 5-star IMG Academy (Fla.) DE

Thomas competed in an IMG Academy exhibition win over Carol City, 41-22, providing a highlight for social media on a sack.

Jake Venables – 4-star Daniel (SC) OLB

Venables started his senior campaign strong by totaling a pair of tackles for loss in a 17-10 road win for Daniel at Berkeley.

Josh Belk – 3-star Lewisville (SC) DT

Belk and his Lewisville Lions dominated the line of scrimmage in holding Andrew Jackson High to under 100 yards in a 30-6 win.

B.T. Potter – 3-star South Pointe (SC) K

Potter played his part with teammate Kendrick in the Stallions' romp of Northwestern, booming kickoffs through the end zone and making field goals from 22 and 31 yards out.
