Highlights from the top performances from Clemson’s commits this week:
Kyler McMichael – 4-star Greater Atlanta Christian CB prospect McMichael was named athlete of the week by Atlanta-area TV WSB after scoring three rushing touchdowns in a third-straight game to lead Greater Atlanta Christian to a 56-6 win over North Hall. The 6-foot-1 cornerback prospect scored from 20, 19 and six yards out. He entered the night averaging 11.8 yards per carry in addition to 11 tackles (7 solo), and now has 18 rushing touchdowns in nine games. The athlete of the week is @gacsREDZONE @kylermc22! The future @ClemsonFB's story coming up 11:20 on @wsbtv Derion Kendrick – 4-star South Pointe (SC) WR Clemson commits Derion Kendrick and kicker B.T. Potter helped move South Pointe to 9-0 with a 61-3 win over Richland Northeast. Kendrick, a receiver prospect at the college level, was elusive as ever with two touchdown passes – one of 42 yards – a touchdown rush and an explosive play as a passer, rusher and receiver, taking one reception from a trick play 40-plus yards into the red zone. He completed passes at an 86.7 percent rate with 220 passing yards and one interception. Kendrick has totaled 26 touchdowns this season (19 passing, 7 rushing). Trevor Lawrence – 5-star Cartersville (GA) QB It was another special Friday night for Lawrence, who topped Deshaun Watson for one record on his way to another set of Watson marks at Clemson. In addition to setting the new Georgia state record for passing (13,254), Lawrence added to a nearly-flawless senior campaign with four touchdown passes for a 34-1 TD-INT count with a 73.4 completion rate and 2,643 passing yards (293.7 per game). He is one TD from tying and two from passing Watson for the all-time Georgia record for passing touchdowns. Congrats my boy! You earned it! Continue to be GREAT! Keep reppin' for Clemson! #GAboys ??@Trevorlawrencee
