Zerrick Cooper had an impressive game leading #6 ranked Jonesboro (9-1) to a 19-14 win over Locust Grove (9-1) in a rain-soaked Friday night.
It wasn't easy though as Cooper threw the go-ahead 8-yard pass to Calder Marria with 17 seconds left in the game. Cooper finished the game with 255 passing yards, 78 rushing yards and passed for three touchdowns (23,30,8). It was the first region championship for Jonesboro since 1949 (66 years). Much respect @zerrickcooper you proved tonight that @ClemsonFB is getting one of the best QBs in the nation.
