Clemson 2015 quarterback commit Tucker Israel was named BHSN's Athlete of the Week after his two-touchdown performance last Friday against Gateway.
For his career, the gun-slinger has 770 completions for 11,180 yards and 127 touchdowns. All three statistics are Florida high school records. Tucker spoke with Bright House Sports Network and talked about breaking those all-time state records. “I hope I continue to stay on top. I know there’s gonna be some great football players in the state of Florida these next decades and years to come but hopefully I continue to stay on top these next couple of years,” Israel said. “It’s a great accomplishment for my community, my family and myself, but I try not to look at it too much. It’s great to be up there with some of the best football players in the state of Florida.” For the season, Israel has 1,500 yards, 21 passing touchdowns and only four interceptions.
