According to staff reports from North Augusta, North Augusta ATH CJ Byrd (6-3, 189, 4.37) has set up his first official visit and will be traveling to Southern Cal on the Oct. 23 weekend.
“If I go far away from home, there is only one place I want go and that’s Southern Cal,” Byrd said. “They compete for national championships every season and have great weather year-round. I’m really excited about making the trip.” Byrd said he has already tentatively agreed to make an official visit to Clemson on January 14 and is working out dates with his three other finalists: Georgia, Florida and Florida State.
