Nicholas Halmon - Safety
Height: 5-10   Weight: 180   Hometown: Bamberg Ehrhardt, (Bamberg HS)   Class: 2013
ESPN: NR

From the Times and Democrat:

Q: What colleges have you heard from thus far?

Halmon: I don't have any offers yet, but I have some high interest from Va. Tech, Clemson, N.C. State, I talked to Miami, Ohio and Tennessee.

Q: What has it been like to have those schools show interest in you?

Halmon: It just tells me I need to work harder. It gives me a little motivation to know that there are opportunities out there for me to succeed. It's just a good feeling.

Q: Last year, you played linebacker. Where will you be this year, and how do you feel about it?

Halmon: I will be playing mostly safety, but we have a couple formations where I will line up at linebacker. I feel pretty good (about playing safety). I've got into it real good and adapted pretty fast. I learned how to cover better. I learned the basics and I feel like I have been playing it forever.

Q: Did you go to any camps this summer and what type of feedback did you get?

Halmon: I went to Clemson, but I went to some other college camps too. (Clemson) was good. I learned a lot. The coaches out there taught me a lot and that is what helped me the most. One coach told me I was jamming pretty good. I just need to work on my footwork a little more.
